RE: Results
Again, thanks to everyone for traveling to our community to participate in the 16th ride of the Cheaha Challenge. The Lord blessed us with perfect weather and a record number of cyclists for our ride--647 (from 30 states!). We trust that you've all made it home safely and that Advil has had time to kick in. Also thanks to Frankie Andreu and Jim Birrell for joining us on Saturday. I think Frankie motored in with the first group and Jim was a bit more leisure, as we've seen his picture with the podium girls at Rest Stop #3.
We value your feedback, so please email us with any suggestions to make the ride better. Also, our volunteers always look forward to reading your comments about the ride. Please take time to visit this link to tell us about your ride.
The timing crew did a good job! However, they were unable to get many of your distances and some of your ride times. They also had a very strange computer glitch with Excel on Sunday night that caused them fits. So here's the deal: we are first posting what we have in alphabetical order by last name with no categorization. Find your name and ride info and if it is incomplete or incorrect, click on the link at the top of the results page. This link will take you to a pre-formatted email that will allow you to enter your correct information. WE ASK THAT YOU MAKE THESE CORRECTIONS ASAP BECAUSE WE ARE SENDING THE RESULTS TO OUR REGIONAL NEWSPAPER FRIDAY AFTERNOON (TO BE IN SUNDAYS PAPER! So email your friends and remind them to check their results and make any corrections. We will send to the newspaper what we have on Friday and list them in order of finish by distance traveled. But we won't do that on the web site until next week in order to allow everyone ample time to make corrections. Again, sorry for the computer glitch this year, but hopefully there aren't too many mistakes.
We will be emailing you a survey very soon about the ride. WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH THIS! Please take just a minute to complete the quick survey on line and hit "submit" when you receive it via email. This is the first time we've done this. We will be able to use this information to gain more community support and more sponsors for the ride. It also helps us justify having all of the law enforcement and others on the course during the day. So be looking for that email soon from us.
